Who We Are?

Regenevolution Tanzania limited is a private Tanzanian entity accelerating regenerative agriculture and building resilient, profitable agri-food enterprises across Tanzania. We strengthen the capacity of local communities, organizations, and educational institutions to confront the twin crises of climate change and broken food systems. Founded to drive genuine food systems transformation, Regenevolution Tanzania champions regenerative agroforestry, reforestation, holistic management, sustainable beekeeping, and permaculture. We turn degraded landscapes into thriving ecosystems and subsistence farming into dignified, regenerative agri-preneurship. Regenevolution Tanzania was legally registered on March 2025, under the Tanzanian Companies Act of 2002.

THE URGENT NEED: WHY REGENERATION MATTERS NOW?

Across Tanzania and East Africa, rural communities face a compounding crisis: soils are depleted, forests are vanishing, rainfall is increasingly erratic, and food insecurity is deepening. Conventional agriculture has trapped smallholder farmers and pastoralists in a cycle of declining yields, high input costs, and environmental degradation. Young people see no viable future in farming, while women struggle to access land, capital, and knowledge.

The missing link is not a lack of solutions, but a lack of practical mentorship, accessible business models, and an organized movement that places local communities in the driver’s seat of restoration. Regenerative agriculture a holistic system that rebuilds soil organic matter, restores biodiversity, sequesters carbon, and strengthens livelihoods offers a proven way forward. Yet in East Africa, it remains misunderstood, underfunded, and siloed. Regenevolution Tanzania exists to change that.

To unlock regenerative agri-food enterprise opportunities for young people, women and smallholder farmers. We push the regeneration agenda forward by equipping local communities to lead the fight against climate change and food insecurity, while improving their livelihoods through regenerative agri-preneurship.

Nuru serves as our Chief Executive Officer (CEO), leading our educational, community empowerment, and organizational development initiatives. He brings over five years of experience managing a farmer-owned maize marketing cooperative in Kasulu District, alongside deep expertise in cooperative governance, agricultural value chain finance, and rural enterprise management.
 
In his role, Nuru spearheads corporate strategy, financial management, investor relations, and institutional partnerships. With a strong background in community development and Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) growth, his leadership focuses on strengthening local entrepreneurship, youth empowerment, financial inclusion, and sustainable livelihood opportunities through practical knowledge and capacity building.
 
Passionate about equipping communities with essential skills and resources, Nuru plays a central role in designing impactful programs and strategic partnerships that advance our mission. His combined expertise in business management, financial systems, and community engagement is integral to driving innovation, organizational growth, and long-term community impact.

Jackson Buzingo

Co-founder and Chief of Operations (COO)

Jackson is a leading practitioner in Syntropic Agroforestry and a dedicated regenerative agriculture advocate. He is passionate about transforming food systems through ecosystem restoration, sustainable agripreneurship, and regenerative agroforestry design. In his current role, Jackson leads corporate operations, field implementation, farmer training systems, and long-term sustainability strategies.
 
His extensive field experience includes leading reforestation and regenerative agroforestry projects that have significantly enhanced the adaptive capacity of farming communities in Tanzania. A committed educator, Jackson has trained over 1,000 farmers, youth, and women in regenerative farming, soil restoration, and sustainable agripreneurship. He also spearheaded knowledge sharing in the region by translating the Syntropic Agroforestry Manual into Swahili.
 
Globally and institutionally, Jackson is an expert in multi-stakeholder partnership building and fortification compliance, specifically utilizing SANKU systems. His leadership background includes serving as a youth leader with GAIN’s ACT4FOOD ACT4CHANGE movement, sitting on the Strategic Committee of the Global Alliance for Climate Smart Agriculture, and contributing to the CGIAR research program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS). Through these networks, he excels at bridging the public and private sectors to mobilize knowledge, investments, and practical solutions that address food insecurity, biodiversity loss, and deforestation.

WHAT WE BELIEVE: PRINCIPLES THAT GUIDE OUR WORK

Regeneration has been a core principle of indigenous and traditional food systems for generations. Conventional agriculture has undermined these systems that once benefited people, nature, and the soil.

We believe regenerative agriculture remains under-recognized in East Africa due to a lack of proper mentorship and the absence of platforms that unite its advocates and practitioners. We distinguish regenerative agriculture from related approaches, yet we are determined to collaborate for the common good rather than compete.

We believe that youth, women, smallholder farmers, and pastoral communities lack the mentorship needed to advance regenerative practices. The best way to fulfill our mission is to provide that mentorship patiently, practically, and with a long-term commitment.

We know there will be hurdles, but we are committed to walking the talk, measuring what matters, and meaning business not as usual.
